STEL B Treatment Tables
The project aimed to expand U.B.M. KOTASIŃSKA’s portfolio to include multifunctional treatment tables featuring adjustable height via electric columns and individual segment adjustment via electric actuators. Due to their advanced functionality and high-quality components, STEL B tables are positioned at a premium price point.
General Design Assumptions
Product Description:
This multifunctional treatment table is designed for use in medical offices and treatment rooms, functioning as both a couch and a procedure table. It allows staff to position patients precisely to ensure effective and safe treatment.
The table’s materials are unified with the company’s existing product line. The structure is made of powder-coated steel tubing, which is resistant to UV radiation, mechanical damage, and disinfectants. The mattress and headrest segments are upholstered. The STEL B table is available in two-segment versions (with varying segment lengths) or a three-segment version. The design ensures that medical staff have easy and comprehensive access to the patient.
Target Group and Ergonomics:
Potential customers include both public healthcare facilities and private practices. As women constitute the majority of the medical profession, the ergonomics and aesthetics of the product were specifically tailored to their needs. Medical personnel are highly aware of how ergonomics affects health; therefore, the design focuses on the well-being of all users. Recognizing that visual appeal significantly influences purchasing decisions, the table features a unique, modern design. All materials used are widely available, well-tested, and pose no risk to staff or patients.
Scope of Design Work
The scope of work included collaboration on the product development strategy, product design, and the creation of full technical documentation by the WÓJCIK DESIGN team. The team also provided authorial supervision during the production implementation phase.
Implemented Design Solutions
The design resulted in a product with a simple yet durable structure. The limited number of structural elements facilitates efficient cleaning and disinfection. An additional advantage of the design is its streamlined technological requirements and ease of assembly.
Achieved Design Effect
The stylistic elements employed ensure that the product stands out within its class. STEL B treatment tables were launched in 2025.
